The Bot Said Your Booking Was Confirmed. It Wasn't.

By Sergei Ponomarev · August 7, 2026

You show up. Nobody is expecting you. You open the chat and there it is, in writing, polite and confident: "Your viewing is confirmed."

That sentence was never proof. It was the bot telling you what it thinks it did. When something fails silently, the message looks exactly the same. Same words, same friendly tone, same emoji.

Every purchase in the real world ends with a receipt. A conversation with a bot ends with a screenshot of a promise.

Now, to the business owners reading this. Your bot is doing this to your customers right now and you do not know about it. Not because it is broken, but because nobody wrote down what it is allowed to promise, and nobody ever went and checked.

Three things fix it, and none of them are expensive

One. Write down what your agent may and may not do. What it can promise, what prices and deadlines it may quote, and the moment it must hand the customer to a human. One page per service.

Two. Give the customer a receipt at the end of the conversation. What was asked, what was answered, what was actually done, and a reference they can come back with. The same courtesy any shop shows at the till.

Three. Check it. Approach your own bot as a customer, run a real scenario, and compare what it said against what your system actually recorded. Not once. After every model update.

Your customers are already checking. They just call it "I'm never using them again."

This is what I do. If you want the rules, the receipt and the check done properly for your service, write to me and we will look at your bot together.
