How Often Do You Check What Your AI Agent Actually Tells Your Customers?

By Sergei Ponomarev · August 18, 2026

How often do you check what your AI agent actually tells your customers?

For most companies the honest answer is never.

Not once since launch.

The bot quotes prices, promises deadlines, places orders and turns people down, and nobody has ever sat on the other side of it as an ordinary customer.

Your logs show what the bot said. They do not show what it was supposed to say.

Some of you know my background. For 7 years I ran quality checks on public services: nationwide monitoring programmes, hundreds of independent assessments, checks of what citizens actually get at the counter.

Today I am publishing that method, carried over to AI agents.

Inside:

  • the standard an agent is measured against: an AI Policy, a Service Passport, an AI Receipt
  • forms of the test purchase
  • designing and running a check
  • scoring the results
  • ethics and law
  • two real cases, including a pilot with the Swiss AI metrology company NeoMundi Recherche
